First and foremost, I was recommended to use Tumwater Insta-Pipe (randy and his team) by word of mouth and I would give them an 11 out of 10! - Corey G.

What is Slip Lining?

Slip lining is a method of repairing and protecting the entire length of your pipe at once. It involves pulling a liner, also referred to as a "carrier pipe" through the pipe. Once the liner is in place, it is inflated to become flush with the walls of the pipe. The end of the liner is then secured to the end of the pipe, and is spliced into the rest of the system.

After that, the line is ready to resume service. The liner has a lifespan of roughly 50 years, and protects against a wide variety of different issues that commonly affect pipes. Leaks, tree roots, cracks, and other problems may affect the outer pipe, but the liner ensures that everything continues to flow smoothly.

The Advantages of Slip Lining

Slip lining is essentially a way to shore up your existing pipe, without having to actually replace the entire thing or conduct spot repair on 20 different areas. The lining is easy to install, it’s resilient, and ensures that the pipe is able to continue operating with minimal interruption. The outer pipe will continue to degrade, of course, and eventually will need to be replaced.

With the liner in place, though, that doesn’t really matter. The outer pipe is just there to give shape and protection to the liner at that point. Once you have the lining in place, you won’t have to worry about that pipe section again for quite a long time.
