Insta-Burst (pipe bursting) is a method of replacing old pipe with a new pipe. The new pipe can have the same or larger inner diameter. This is accomplished by pulling a hardened steel splitting head through the old pipe. The new pipe is attached to the back of the splitting head and is pulled in as the old pipe is split and expanded the new pipe follows the path of the old pipe and lies in its place. Pipe bursting is especially cost effective if the existing pipe is out of capacity.  Insta Pipe does the smaller (“laterals”) pipe 3” to 6” with a static cable burst system. Larger Bursts are typically done with a Static Rod System.

Insta-Burst (pipe bursting) is a trenchless method of replacing buried pipelines without the need for a traditional construction. A launching pit and a receiving pit replace the trench needed in traditional open-cut pipe laying projects.

• Quicklock bursting rods are linked together not threaded - saving time and preventing twisting.
• Cutter heads can be used on steel as well as splitting VCP, PVC, ACP, and cast iron.
• Can pull in a variety of replacement pipe - polyethylene and PVC.
