Insta-Pipe has a proven method to rehabilitate small diameter pipelines utilizing a “local” sectional repair system. The Perma-Patch™ system is the latest development in rehabilitation. The new Perma-Patch™ system uses a fiberglass mat with 100% solids epoxy resins, creating a structural repair with a minimum life span of 50 years per ASTM F1216 Specifications!
Perma-Patch™ is designed for 4” and 6” diameter pipelines with cracks, holes, and separation in joints. The repair is inserted into the damaged pipe using an inflatable bladder and push cable. The patch repair is centered over the damaged pipe section and pressed tight against the host pipe area, creating a structural new pipe.
No excavation is required!
Typical Installation
* With a small diameter camera inspection system, locate the damaged area
* Impregnate the fiberglass mat with the 100% solids epoxy resin
* Wrap the impregnated fiberglass mat around the inflatable bladder
* Secure the fiberglass mat to the inflatable bladder
* Push the bladder into the pipeline through an open clean-out (no-digging)
* Inflate the bladder and hold for 3 hours
* Pull out the bladder and insert camera for final inspection

The Perma-Patch system can repair sewer laterals with small cracks, holes or joint separations without excavation.
Through an open cleanout, a technician inserts a push cable and a reusable, inflatable bladder used to affix an epoxy-coated fiberglass mat over the damaged area. Once inflated, the bladder remains in place for three hours. When it is removed, the repaired area is a structurally sound new pipe.
The Perma-Patch system is much quicker and cost effective than digging out a pipe and replacing it, and the patch has a minimum life span of 50 years.
The patch, designed for 4 and 6 inch pipes, is affixed with 100 percent solids epoxy resins that work even on wet surfaces. The resins come pre-measured. Low odor makes them easy to use indoors.
The resins are ambient cured; no external heat source is needed. Several patches can be installed in a day to repair multiple pinholes and crakes throughout the damaged pipe.
